| Whilst the Art
& Craft School originated as a community centre
for empowering youths with artistic self-help skills
in order to keep them off the streets, it has developed
into a major centre of excellence that has made important
contributions to the artistic culture of this country,
with some of the graduates having produced internationally
worshiped art masterpieces, and others running highly
successful commercial sign-writing companies in Bulawayo
and other cities in Zimbabwe. Today
the school is run on a commercial basis, and the subjects
taught are as follows:
Commercial Art
Fine Art
Pottery, and
Ceramic Sculpture
We wish to revive Wood and Stone
Sculpture in the near future, as soon as we identify
a suitable instructor.
Besides Full Time classes
that we run for mainstream post “O” Level
type students, we also run Part Time afternoon classes
for adult students who wish to sharpen and polish
their largely latent artistic talents.
